Mac Address Book Syncing - missing contacts

This had also happened to me and I can't find anything to explain it. I manually entered the contacts missing and re-synched and they were gone again, but the contact names in my favorites disappeared but not the numbers. Hopefully someone can figure it out.

Gosh ... I hoped to find the solution for my girlfriends problem here. Exaktly the same:

She's got a new iPhone 3G and was syncing. After that, there are about 20 % of the contacts, which are on her MacBook, missing in the iPhone. Only solution until now: Add the missing contact on the iPhone and resync. Then there they are ... abd they stay.

Had the exact same problem with my new iPhone 3G. Found this tip on another forum:

- Open iSync from the applications folder
- Choose Preferences from the iSync menu
- Choose Reset sync history
- Re-synch iPhone through iTunes

Worked for me.

Wow - same thing happened to me. I lost about 15% of my contacts, and some of my mail.app accounts are gone. Really strange.

I tried this isync trick, but it didn't work for me, I'm still missing the contacts. How in the world could they have just gotten deleted?

Same problem, and the iSync thing fixed it. Hopefully this won't be a recurring issue. Any idea what is going on here?

Your tip about re-setting iSync Prefs in the Applications folder worked like a charm for me! All my contacts are fine now (about 10% missing before).
