How to pay for Apps when buying them on my Iphone

It takes from the method on your Apple account. If the card isn't listed as a method of payment it's going to take whatever method you have selected.

I have the same problem. I don't have a debit of gift card, and I read on here that if you purchase a gift card you can create your account, so I did it that way, and it won't allow me to purchase any of the games, or even the update. What should I do? Our entire family does not have a credit card, and the gift card is useless if I can't purchase Apps or the Update and it's a wasted 50 dollars. I e-mailed Apple Support two days off, and I still haven't gotten an answer. I am becoming more and more angry because it's a $50 gift card, and if I can't use it for Apps, I can't use it period, and I just wasted 50 dollars, and hours of my time.

Someone want to let me know why I can't?

You do not have to specify a payment method to establish an iTunes account. Software updates are free anyway, as are many of the apps in the app store. You should be able to load in a credit card, debit card, or iTunes gift card. If you do not have a credit card, how did you purchase the iPhone? A valid credit card is required for purchase.

I purchased my iPod touch at Future Shop. I'm from Canada, I have an iTunes account, the 2.0.2 is not free for the Touch, i don't have a credit card, you can't load a debit card and I did load in an iTunes gift card, and it won't let me purchase apps with the gift card.

Well, you said you had an iPhone. Perhaps you should check in iPod Touch forum instead

I didn't start the thread. I only saw someone post this and replied. Is that a crime to look for answers to questions that are similar with one small similarity?
