Prior to upgrading to 2.0, I could get into my Jeep, wait 5 seconds and the bluetooth icon would change from grey to blue. I could then use the handsfree UConnect system in my Jeep. When I upgraded to 2.0, I lost this ability. I thought maybe something was up with the pairing so I unpaired the phone and UConnect system and started from scratch. It was no issue pairing the iphone (1st gen, 2.0 software) with the Jeep UConnect system but I can't get calls to switch over - the icon stays grey. The two items are paired and show as paired. Any ideas why the iphone isn't moving calls over to my Jeep?

I'm still having this issue. I can pair the phone, and I've paired on 3 separate channels, but the iphone won't throw calls to the jeep. When I go into settings, it reads "UConnect - paired" and I had to enter the pin, so I know it's paired. For whatever reason, the bluetooth icon won't turn to blue on the phone and calls can't feed through. Any ideas??????
I have the same issue. 2007 300C. Uconnect pairs but I never get a call on it or through it. I'm in my car too much for this to not be fixed. It has to get fixed soon or the phone goes back. Thank god for the return policy.
I have had the same issues as everyone else on a 2007 dodge ram 1500. I had the 1 gen iphone and never had any issues with uconnect but since upgrading to 2.0 it doesn't work. I tried it in a 2008 infiniti g35 and it works perfectly. It pairs successfully but never picks up the phone. I have found that it works intermittently thought, I was on the phone the other day and got into the truck, started it, and a few seconds later uconnect picked up the call. It is strange to me how it works only when it wants to. I just hope apple fixes this issue soon or at least releases some information as to what the causes could be.
I had the same issue when I first paired my phone in my charger. I checked the set up again and there was a choice to hide device (or something similar). I unchecked that and since then ithas worked fine. I tried looking at all my menus but can't seem to find that option again. I know I'm not crazy (yet) but I am sure that option was there when I paired my phone. If I find it I'll let you know where it is.....hope you find it.
I run a Mercedes retrofit business. we install phone kits , navigation systems etc. The S/W upgrade to V2 has completely screwed up the adress book download for all Mercedes Bluetooth car cradles. Previously under version 1.1.4 it worked really well. Now under V2 it does not work.
I really hope Apple fix this asap as its hurting a lot of people.
I have a 08 Liberty and Iphone 3g and it seems to work OK for me.. I have noticed that if the network is unresponsive and I have to reset network settings on the iPhone, then I have to re-pair the phone again, but thats all the problems I have had with mine..
It makes no sense at all but I got in my Jeep yesterday and it worked! I made phone calls through my UConnect. I haven't changed a single setting or upgraded any software since the 2.0 release, and I've tried MANY times for it to work, but I was able to use UConnect yesterday. It's very strange.
QUOTE FROM TAMARA: "I believe Chrysler is going to need to issue a patch for their Uconnect system. "
I find it somewhat difficult to believe that this is going to require a patch from the makers of the uConnect System as it worked fine with SW version 1.1.4
What is it about the upgrade to SW version 2.0 that has caused the uConnect system to not work with the Apple iPhone. Apple had myriad problems with the connectivity of bluetooth systems in the past and seemed to have resolved most if not all of those problems in the iPhone update prior to the 2.0 update. Assuredly, uConnect could probably come up with some update to their software that would make the iPhone compatible again, but why should they? It would be a much easier resolution for Apple to get the 1.1.4 Bluetooth code architecture implemented into the iPhone as a new update, than it would be for Chysler/Dodge owners and every other uConnect system owner with this problem to travel to the dealer and have their cars software updated. I guess I just don't understand how something this critical could be overlooked by Apple. It would seem that the new 2.0 iPhone update, actually was a step backwards regarding the bluetooth architecture.

I too am having the same problem with the U-connect with my Iphone and my 08 PT. It all worked great until the 2.0 and also 2.0.1 updates! The iphone says it is paired but when I try to make a call u-connect says phone not available! Now that the Cal. law says you have to have a handsfree kit this whole thing really is a problem Lets all send the tickets to Apple then see if that speeds thins up. I would expect this type of problems with a Microsoft product as they have been dumping operating systems with BUGS for decades but not Apple. Well I guess Apple is starting to follow suite because this 2.0 update has really messed up the iPhone in Microsoft fashion!!
