iPhone 3G video formats

Why is it that youtube videos will play on iphone but not any other website video. Is there an application to download to iphone to be able to play more video formats. Is this a resolvable issue? Are there anymore websites other than youtube that will have videos that will play on iphone?

Flash is not available for iphone. I assume that is what you are asking.

I don't know if Adobe is making a flash version for iphone or not, but for now there is no flash for iphone.

Google converted many of the videos to H.264 so they would work on the iPhone.
Fox news has an iPhone site with playable video.

Look on the web apps page-they have listed some websites that have streaming audio and video that works.

The reason you can't view videos from other videos sites besides youtube is because they run on something called "Flash". iPhones and iPod Touches can't support Flash because of their software. This is why Apple created the YouTube application on your home screen.
Luckily, someone has done there best to fix this problem.
