Connecting Mackie Mixer to Mackie Satellite

Could any one let me know if or explain how I can connect a mackie 1604 vlz pro(Not the new vlz3) mixer to a mackie satellite? I have a mackie satellite connected via firewire to my imac but am thinking about purchasing a mackie mixer. Would I be able to come out of the mixer and into the satellite and have the connection via firewire? I recently bought a presonus firestudio project and it has been a royal pain in the *. So I thought why not buy something with more preamps and around the same price tag when buying used. But need to know if I could connect the two first. Thanks.
