Not allowed to use restricted network port” (WebKitErrorDomain:103) ?? Help

I have a url that always gets this error message on safari "Not allowed to use restricted network port” (WebKitErrorDomain:103) "

But it doesn't do that from the PC side on my mac thru Parallels .

I just reset all the safari cache etc., thinking that might help. But still can't get to the url.

Can someone please explain what that is. and if I need to open some port maybe ?

Thanks in advance

Macbook Pro 2.ghz, Macbook,imac 17 1.83, emac, Mac OS X (10.4.9), 1.5 gig of ram .

Hi,

https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14100

It appears Safari intentionally blocks 'unsafe' ports. For the time being there's nothing you can do other than use another browser such as Firefox which allows additional ports to be specified.
