looking for NNTP client for iPhone

Interesting thought. Safari on Mac can use "news:" type addresses. But I tried it in the iPhone and it didn't work.

There is iNewsGroup, open source newsreader:

Looks at screenshots at the bottom of the page - I think it's exactly what you want.

However, I'm not sure whether it's on iTunes already.
Maybe you have to wait until Apple includes it. You can download it, but restrictive Apple software won't let you to install it just like that.

This looks like an app developed for a jailbroken iPhone, not an official app that will be available on the App Store.

I'm actually the developer of that app--and as Irish John points out it was originally an app for the jailbroken devices.

However, I'm currently in the process of writing it for 2.*, and hope to have it out in the coming weeks. It will be free, or very close to it.
