password visible now???

why is the password visible letter by letter as you type it now? There should at least be an option to turn this off. anybody know where that option is if it exists???

as if it wasn't already hard to be discreet while typing in passwords.



also, second question, why has the search field in these discussions mysteriously disappeared??
