AppleMobileDeviceHelper has stopped working

After downloading itunes 7.7 I now get this message. It is a contineous loop as long as I have Itunes running. I have uninstalled Itunes and rebooted my pc. Nothing in the itune folder and nothing in trash. I reinstalled 7.7 and continue to get this message.
I am runing Windows Visa

Dell 8300, Windows Vista

Same problem, specifically I get an ustoppable series of popups with the one error... "AppleMobileDevice Helper has stopped working". Included is the problem signature

Sounds like the unistall may be a band aide, but I am guessing the iPhone I ordered yesterday will require that piece of the software.

i tried uninstalling the actual mobile device helper program on its own but after doing that.the messages stopped but when i connect ipod it doesnt open up in itunes source panal so it cant be worked on...its a total nightmare bud..mail me if ya get a solution..itunes is a pain and not very much enjoyment im finding.more hassle than enjoyment..anddavbyg@msn.com
