AIM Software on iPhone

Hello. I just downloaded the new software for my iPhone today through iTunes as I have the older iPhone. I downloaded AIM and it recognizes my screename & password but it doesn't load my buddy list. It looks like I have to manually type in my entire buddy list into my iPhone which is a pain... am I missing something? Is there something I can do to get my buddy list loaded from AIM on my computer onto the AIM on my iPhone?

Should load on own, may take time if not on 3G or WiFi. But not that long.
Got all my buddies.

Make sure you have the official iPhone 2.0 Software that was released on July 11th

If you do not have this please restore iPhone with the latest 2.0 software release.

You may wish to remove the AOL app, and re-sync it. To remove the AOL App hold down the AIM icon once you see an X press it. and it will remove from iPhone.

I did that and its still not loading my buddy list. Do you think I have too many buddies? I also have them very organized into groups on my computer so maybe thats the problem? Please help 🙂

I had this problem, too. I removed and reinstalled it entirely on the phone (not using iTunes) and it works now. I have a suspicion I might have chosen MobileMe for a .Mac user name. Be careful about that.
