Syncing Entourage to iPhone 3G with mobile.me

I have a desktop running OSX 10.4.11 and would like to access my Entourage (especially Entourage TASKS) on my new iPhone 3G. I have subscribed to mobile.me. Can this be done and how?

It was my understanding that with the original iPhone one could not access Entourage Tasks, and that's why I didn't buy it. There was a software (e2Sync) that purportedly did the trick, but I never tried it.

Any expert opinions out there? Thanks

Are you sure? I just found this message posted by Paul Syndney AU that suggests otherwise.

+Entourage Will sync with mobile me, mobile me is a IMAP server and stores all your email in one place so it is the most up to date source of email, and you can have as many devices logon and access it.+

+Just setup a new mail account in Entourage using the IMAP tab and away you go!!!+

+Entourage -> Prefrences then sync setting, and entourage will sync with ical and address book, which in turn syncs with mobile. make sure you tick "combined" when you do set it up so both ical and address book can talk in both directions.+

Enjoy...

There's no way to sync notes or tasks between Entourage and the iPhone, but there IS a solution now for syncing notes and tasks between the Mac desktop and the iPhone. What you need is a) two iPhone apps from a company called Appigo: Todo and Notebook, and b) an account at Toodledo.com, an online task management website.

The Appigo apps store tasks and notes locally on the iPhone and sync to the respective task and notebook sections of Toodledo.com for access from any desktop machine. Toodledo.com's notebook section can import CSV files, so if you can get your old notes from Palm desktop or Entourage into that format, you can migrate them to the iPhone--but you would have to abandon Entourage for notes after that and use only Toodledo.com instead. (Entourage notes are a kind of a pain to export, and require a Paul Berkowitz Applescript and TextWrangler, but it can be done.)

Toodledo.com can also import tasks from other programs, and can even sync tasks to iCal on the desktop. (Conceivably, you could then still use Entourage for tasks, but the sync between Entourage and iCal is very buggy. I have abandoned Entourage for notes, calendaring and tasks.) Toodle.com is free for a basic account, with a yearly-fee option if you want your info encrypted. Also, Toodledo.com now sells its own iPhone app (for tasks only, not notes) so you have a choice of which task app to use on the phone.

I would highly recommend checking out the Appigo/Toodledo.com combo. You will be amazed at how much nicer it is to manage notes and tasks on the iPhone with the Appigo apps than it was to manage notes and tasks on a Palm.

This is a question for James Banks1 or anyone else who can answer.
I carefully followed the instructions posted for importing Palm Memos to Toodledo notebook and was successful. They are correctly sorted into the correct folders, but they are no longer in alphabetical order in their folders. How can I fix this.

Thank you very much,
Alan (docsilk@aol.com)

Thank you so much...
I have finally cracked it.. Days and days of trying, but here is my setup...
Entourage on the Mac, which syncs with Outlook through Exchange Server (for work purposes) AND it syncs with iCal.
iCal syncs through Appigo Sync (free download) to iPhone which has ToDo app installed for $13AUD... And it all works...
So I can now write notes in Entourage and they appear in the iPhone and vica versa...
