1621 error (upgrade failure)

after 24 hours of a myriad of upgrade issues I'm now in an restore loop where I ultimately fail out with a 1621 error. Anyone know what this is and how to correct ?

mac, Mac OS X (10.5.4)

I've had the same problem. I had to restore from the iPhone (reset all settings and erase all content). From the settings menu go to General, and then to Erase all Content and Settings.

It will take 2 Hours to reset, you will not be able to use your phone (calls out or in) and will restore your phone to it's original state. Be sure to have it plugged in to your ac adapter or you may run out of battery life (found it out the hard way). Once it is complete you can sync your phone and iTunes can restore to your last sync status (which will also take some time depending on how much stuff you have on your phone).

Best of luck and I hope it helps.
