how do you create a ringtone for iPhone that's not purchased?
I read somewhere it said to convert the m4a files to m4r files and it would create a ringtone for the iPhone.
But I just saw on the apple site this:
The following audio file formats are supported by iPhone. These include formats for audiobooks and podcasting:
AAC (M4A, M4B, M4P, up to 320 Kbps)
Apple Lossless (a high-quality compressed format)
MP3 (up to 320 Kbps)
MP3 Variable Bit Rate (VBR)
WAV
AA (audible.com spoken word, formats 2, 3, and 4)
AAX (audible.com spoken word, AudibleEnhanced format)
AIFF
So if it doesn't support m4r files, how do you convert songs in iTunes (that I have not purchased, but on my cds) for a ringtone? Would you have to buy iToner or RingtoneStudio? Can anyone please help with this.
