Does Restoring the Ipod delete all the music and such?...

My itunes wants me to restore my ipod but i dont want to lose anything i have on it at all....
Will restoring it lose anything or will it keep everything just update the ipod i reallllly need to know.

If the library only exists on your iPod and not in your iTunes library on your computer, you will need third-party software to copy the library from the iPod (and that's if you can access prior to doing the restore). Search the forum under Zevoneer as the poster and put the word "Senuti" in the search field. You should find his very detailed post on how to do this. (If not found here, search in the iTunes forum.)

Yes. Since you don't say what computer OS you have, try Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.

It has both Mac and Windows versions.
