External keyboard for iPhone

I have a first generation iPhone - not an iPhone 3G.

Are there any available external keyboards available for the iPhone? I have a Palm and a Dell Axim PDA, and I have foldable keyboards that I can use with those devices.

When will there be an external keyboard available for the iPhone?
