When you publish a website, where are the image files stored on your computer? All we could find were files in the safari history folder but we know that's not the correct one.
☑ Mac Mini  (1.42) W/Bluetooth,
Mac OS X (10.5.4)
I don't think we publish to a folder. All we do is click the publish button.
It appears that the only way to gain access to the image files is when a person uses that publish folder. How do we switch over to doing this, and would we be able to alter how the image looks on the Internet this way, or would it still pick up the image file from the Apple server?

Yeah that's what we thought, but when we go to the iDisk sites folder nothing is there. We went to Preferences to see if something was unchecked but it all looks OK.
When we click on that folder a box pops up asking us to insert our username and password. We do but then nothing happens.
Also, ever since we tried publishing to a folder it now won't allow us to publish to .mac anymore. Same thing happens, it asks us to log in, but when we go to Preferences > MobilMe it already says that we
are logged in. Wonder if Apple is doing something on their end to cause this?
I publish to folders on my desktop which I then copy to iDisk.
I publish directly to dotMac with iWeb.
And with Contribute/Dreamweaver for testing purposes.
Only with iWeb I got a screen to open an account. I dismissed it and published again.
I also log in to iDisk via the link mentioned.
Even in the worst moment of all MobileMe trouble I was able to publish and access my files on iDisk.

Yes that the screen that we get. When we click on 'sign in' it takes us to Preferences > MobileMe where it says that we are ALREADY logged in. I think something on Apples end must be messed up as one part says (correctly) that we are logged in, and the other part says we aren't logged in (and won't let us log in). Now we can't publish to our site 😟
