Touch will only sync podcasts

My ipod touch started having problems syncing - would duplicate playlists, would not add new songs, but no errors in itunes. Tried to restore, got an error (4) when it tried to re-apply my January (1.4.1?) software update. So I bought the 2.0 software update today, and ran the install. Install went fine, no errors, no problems. Tried to sync, photos and podcasts will sync, but calendar, music, and movies will not. No errors reported during sync on ipod or in itunes.

Any ideas?
