App Store download count

App Store download count

How can we tell how many times our app has been downloaded from the App Store?

We have an app up on App Store and our download count shows zero. We know we have had numerous downloads, but we have no idea how many downloads.

Is there anywhere we can get a download count for our app?? (other than waiting until the end of the month for the report)

Even though I don't have any apps on the app store (yet), I do know what you mean about wanting to know a download count of Widgets that I have made in the past. That could determine if I spend the time to improve or scrap a project.

HEY APPLE, how about a download count in both areas???

Not yet, anyway. The download counts were on the App Store when viewed from an iPhone only on the first day, but then they disappeared. Now they're nowhere, and also not in iTunes Connect. AFAIK, developers will get a check and a financial report sometime after the end of a month reporting on the previous month's downloads and income (actually if it's a free app, maybe not even that).

iTunes Connect only will currently show you the monthly download count once a month is completed.

I filed a bug to ask them to add a way to view daily information, since thye took away the download counts from the App Store.

Just as they conveniently took away the search facility from the forums.

I think it boils down to "perfromance" of the servers. My previous posts on this were deleted. I can only hope these issues get sorted soon.

You can see the download count by looking at your app through AppStore on the iPhone.

The only problem is since Friday morning it has been 0.

Have you all seen the App Store Metrics? Most iphone sites have links to it and it has at least five RSS feeds now.
