How Do I Search within Documents?

I'm trying to do a search for a phrase within my documents and have been unsuccessful. I've clicked the "contents" tab, so that finder will look through my documents' contents in search of my desired phrase. That is the function of the contents tab, right? Anyways, I wasn't finding all the results I know are on my computer. Many didn't show up as results, and most had the phrase as part of the document name. How do I a search within my word documents for a specific phrase or word?

By default, Leopard searches don't look in system folders nor things in your /Library/Preferences/. CMD+F, when the search window pops up, click on the Kind button, select Other, and in the next window, enable System files, close the window, click the Kind button again, select System Files, and click the don't include drop-down and select include. Enter the file's name in the search box and click the File Name button.

If you want to change the default Finder Find window, see my post at http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=6725932 or the tip at http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20080229204517495

Normally, with the document or page open, you just press Command + F to open the drop down horizontal bar, type in the word and keep clicking to see every instance of that word until it says 'Done'.

You mention Word documents, hmmm, as I don't use Word, that may be different but try it and see. Command + F is pretty universal on the Mac.
