Edquota

So I am setting up a new xserve which will be used primarily as a time machine server. It's presently attached to a storage array and it's working fine but I have a question about quotas. I can configure individual quotas using edquota -u username, but when I try the same but for groups (edquota -g) and then do a repquota -guv filesystem I only see staff. I added a group to WGM but for whatever reason I cannot get this to work. I can just go ahead and do quotas user by user, but it would be a lot easier to sort out by groups. I made sure to create the necessary files as well .quota.group and .quota.ops.group.
