iPhone 3G Lagging in Apps, Texting, Safari and Contacts

Is anyone having this issue where the iPhone 2.0 is very very slow and typing? Apple Needs TO come out with a fix for this ASAP cause I'm sure I aint the only one, I have a iPhone first-Gen and a iPhone 3G with 2.0 software and it's slow at typing. any resolutions for this anyone?

I have a 3G and the lag in the address book can take up to 10 seconds. I have 1500+ contacts.
I have reset the iphone once and it still happens.

Like he said he should be able to scroll through his contact like anyone else...I'm on my iPhone now and the typing is unbearably slow.

Me too! And I don't have THAT many contact. Mine is had had slow interactions since day 1. In fact, there are times when ANYTHING I try to do on the phone takes several seconds.

Search would be much faster if the search box would come up automatically, instead of having to try and tap on the little icon for it.

although I'll also say the lag on the 2.x seems worse than the lag on the 1.x with same number of contacts..around 600 on mine.

No, this is strictly firmware. Apple WILL release a fix for this bug. I have reported it a couple of times. It actually freezes in Contacts sometimes for me. And when it doesn't freeze it always takes about 15 seconds to load my contacts and with 1.1.4 it was instant. They will fix it. Wait until 2.1.4 and then everything will be perfect again! 🙂
