unable to update new carrier setting for iPhone 3G, it says error occurred (0xE8000001)

PC, Windows Vista, Vista, iPod nano (2gen), iPhone 3G

Same here, update to 2.0.1 went well, but carrier update keeps failing everytime I sync.

I'm with Optus in Australia

Same for me. Everything works fine, but I get that error every time iTunes sees my iPhone connected.

I am having exactly the same problem, I am on Optus in Australia. This always worked with 2.0 but although 2.0.1 installed correctly now carrier update fails.

Same error when syncing swedish iPhone 3G (Telia) to iTunes after updating it to the 2.0.1 software.

me too, just got an iphone at softbank today. software 2.01 and get a dialog asking to update the carrier's info, click ok then get the error 0xE8000001

Having same problem here, in Sweden with Telia.

I have sent a feedback and I recommend all to do the same. Then they have to fix it...

Same problem here in New Zealand. New iPhone 3g with Vodafone. Just updated it to 2.0.1 and now I get the "unable to carrier settings" error every time I sync. It tells me that there are carrier updates available I click install and then I get the error.
