Can not access store after iTunes 7.7 upgrade

After upgrading to 7.7 I am unable to access the iTunes stores. I have seen windows users with same issue related to firewalls, however, i am using an iMac with the latest OS X and all latest patches and I do not have any firewall SW.

Anyone having the same issue ?

iMac 2Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, Mac OS X (10.5.4)
