A MUST READ FOR UCONNECT USERS**

i have a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee w/ uconnect and the new iPhone G3. i thought i had the same pairing issue (it paired fine, but would not connect when making a call).

i soon discovered that that the uconnect system worked fine with the iphone G3, but had a minor volume control issue that is mainly an inconvenience more then anything. not sure if this issue is the same with all uconnect models, however this is want i discovered. with my old phone (Treo 755), i found that when i made a call using uconnect, it would pickup the call as soon as i dialed. i was able to hear the call ringing before the other party picked up. with my iphone, uconnect for some reason will not pickup the call until the other party answers the phone or voicemail picks up. when the call picks up, i find that the car volume is much softer then normal and needs to be turned up .

one other issue i found, i had both my iphone and my treo in the car at the same time. i needed to turn off the bluetooth on my old phone.

my suggestion is that you go back and make a few more test calls. if your iphone paired correctly, you should be given the option to switch between, speaker phone, uconnect, and iphone. switch back to speaker phone until you hear the other party pick up and switch back to uconnect.

hope this helps a few of you.

I have a 2009 Dodge Caliber with the UConnect Radio ( non NAV) And can't get my iphone 3g to pair either. I can see from the post that this issue has been around since 2.0 That's not very reassuring. It is an issue just with iphone. I have seen every other phone that we attempted with work except the most expensive. You would think you pay enough for a phone that the Bluetooth wouldn't freak out on a phonebook download. ***** you can't disable that feature but even more frustrating apple doesn't seem to be doing anything about it considering we ar almost at version 3.0. I can only hope that when that comes out in like 3 months it will fix the problem. If not it will be the last apple product I ever purchase. I never had more issues with one product. Can't wait for a competitor to come out with a great product and kick apple stock down a few points. Then they might get on the ball. Just my opinion. Paid for an option that everyone assumed would work with the most popular phone right now. GUESS NOT

First, the iPhone is not the most expensive phone out there. Second, why shouldn't Chrysler fix their Uconnect system? It is their product that is failing since the iPhone can pair with bluetooth systems in cars that don't use Uconnect which would indicate Chrysler is dropping the ball.

In case you didn't know it, Chrysler Uconnect does not work with the Verizon/Sprint Razr. The Verizon Treo 700W also doesn't work with Uconnect. As I said, it sounds like it is an issue that Chrysler needs to deal with rather than Apple, Motorola or Palm.

I have a 2009 challenger and i am also having the Uconnect issues every time i connect it starts to dial soon as the other person picks up the bluetooth disconnects then a few secs later it reconnects then disconnects and this keeps going on till i turn it off. then if i try using the phone normally i can't use the internal speaker till i reboot the phone. And i have the latest updated for uconnect and iphone since i just brought the car into the dealer with the problem.

Just loaded iPhone OS 3.0 on my 3g and it works with my 2009 Dodge Caliber with Uconnect!

Previously, I had the same problem as most of you did where you could pair the phone but as soon as you tried to make a call it would disconnect because the Bluetooth stack on the iPhone would continually reboot.

This is great news for me and a lot of other people.

I hope it works for everyone else too!
