Audio File Management Software?

Audio File Management Software?

Can anyone recommend a good, simple, affordable software, or hardware, system for managing Logic audio files?

I have three years worth of files on 5 different hard drives, with countless duplicates.

iTunes files seem to take up a huge amount of disk space as well. I've never tried the built in "consolidate" feature, mainly out of fear, I guess. Anyone using that?

I just heard about DROBO. Anyone recommend it?

Thanks for that recommendation. It looks like a good program for organizing audio files and samples.

What I am trying to do is somewhat different.

I want to eliminate all the duplicate files on numerous backup hard drives, and then use a systematic backup procedure to avoid having so many unmanageable collections of Logic files and iTunes files.

Still looking.

A buddy of mine used a program called "fix tunes" i think its pc only, but he is a wedding dj and wanted to clean out all the duplicates in his itunes. Im not sure if this will scan just the itunes library or your entire HD, but it might be worth a look...
