Bootcamp 2.1 update error

Hi,

I have the Bootcamp 2.1 update error: "Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid".

I have tried this:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1845

Doesn't help... what to do? HELP!

Btw, I use Parallels, which currently doesn't work... something about a HAL problem...

I get the installer to open on my second Mac Book, but it's telling me that there was an error and it has to close.

Here is the error I get in Event Viewer:

Hi,

I had the same problem and your registry key suggestion got me on the right track, thanks a lot!
My product ID is different, but with a registry search I was able to find Boot Camp settings. The only thing I had to change was the Language value below from 41d (Swedish) to 409 (US).
I'm running English 64bit Windows 2008 Server, but I guess Vista 64bit would have the same problem. Looks like Boot Camp installation is picking up my Swedish locale and populating the registry with it, which prevents Boot Camp Update 2.1 from installing both from "Apple Software Update" or manually by downloading it first.
I can also see that I'm presented with a Swedish "Apple Software Update" dialog box when searching for updates, even though I run an English OS, which gave me a clue where the problem was.

Before the registry change and the update from Boot Camp 2.0 the interesting part of the registry looked like this!
[HKEY CLASSESROOT\Installer\Products\1972E1D59AAA4FE4B9DA97EEB1F70D04]
"ProductName"="Boot Camp-tjänster"
"PackageCode"="EF4B6532CFCB9154F939342F08110CF2"
"Language"=dword:0000041d
"Version"=dword:02000003

And after the registry change and the Boot Camp 2.1 update the registry looks like this!
[HKEY CLASSESROOT\Installer\Products\1972E1D59AAA4FE4B9DA97EEB1F70D04]
"ProductName"="Boot Camp Services"
"PackageCode"="EF4B6532CFCB9154F939342F08110CF2"
"Language"=dword:00000409
"Version"=dword:02010000
