Register iPhone on iTunes soesn't work

When I connect my 3G iPhone to iTunes to sync more tunes etc. it offers to let me register it, I out in my .mac details and password and get the error message"The iTunes store could not process your request, please try later"

I've got this message daily since I got the phone on the 12th.

Any one else had this problem or cured it???

2.8 Alu iMac. G Tech FW800 Back Up Drive, Mac OS X (10.5.4)

I have the same issue, you try and register and it doesn't let you. The problem seems that the registration process thinks we are located in the US even when you select UK and as a result it can't deal with the UK postcodes.

I keep getting invalid zip code messages.

No cure though

Yes I am having trouble regitering my Iphone in the UK too. I spoke to 02 support who said it is an ITunes problem and the 02 operator got hold of Apple - frustratingly they saidit was their problem but merely suggested I continue to register anyway.

The fact is I cant. Itunes registration will just not accept my UK postcode. I keep changing my country to UK but lo and behold it switches back to USA when I submit.

*What is the solution Apple?

Also I bought my Iphone 3G from the Regent Street Store andit was preloaded with Itunes US Store - perhaps I should have know there would nbe a problem looming?
