I am still not capable to download the famous 2.0 always the same error merssage 3259. Even apple could not help me. Am I the only one with this 3259???
Here are two more cases. We have 2 iphones on 2 separate computers (Windows machines) and the download completes (218 MB), then gives the network error message. What is going on? Is there any place to download the software using the standard download instead of through itunes? Maybe then it will work. Everything else I download works including some files much larger than 218 MB !!! This is ridiculous
Greetings from Paris !
I have almost the same problem when i try to install the firmware 2.0 on itunes (7.7) with my original iphone ! I'm able to download the full 218 mB of version 2.0 but unable to update my iphone ! After the download, i try to install and then itunes just simply crash like **** !!! I tried at least 5 times on 2 different PC and always the same pb !
Apple, hello, where are you, can you help pls ?
Been having multiple issues with iTunes 7.7 upgrade, but I nearly lost my mind trying to load 2.0 for hours - constantly getting Error 3259 after about 10MB into download. Finally unchecked "Allow simultaneous downloads" and that seemed to do the trick. Good luck!
Unchecking did not do anything. But after seeing all the problems people are having even after they get the new software installed, maybe it's best to wait awhile anyway đ
We finally gave up and on Sunday spent 3 hours on the phone with Apple support (Canada, not India) and were able to get Itunes 7.7 and ver 2.0 of the firmware installed. Of course, now we cannot sync the calendar AT ALL!!! Support says Apple is aware and is working to get an upgrade to the firmware. đ
Using msconfig to stop all programs from running in background except those needed by Apple (like itunes helper, etc), then reboot and it downloaded. But of course, you have to have first installed itunes 7.7
But if you are using Outlook 2007, I would wait before installing the 2.0 upgrade until they fix the sync bug.
Yep, me too...
Just thought I'd add mine to the list, in case Apple is listening.
I've downloaded the latest iTunes. The iPhone update seems to be going swell - th ewhole lot downloads, then I get th eerror message.
Come on Apple, sort it out please.
This same thing happened to me when I was downloading the update then I spent hours on the phone to Apple we finally got it done by only allowing certain programs by apple to run. But like someone else I lost the calendar - now would like to get the update to Iphone but encounter the same problem. Can remember how to do it?
