Have you tried pushing both buttons until it shuts off?
  • GC82090 Level 1 Level 1
yea and it goes back to the ipod logo screen

Try holding both buttons until it turns off thenlet go and don't turn it on and plug it into your computer. I had the same problem last night and this was my solution.

Hi Wulf, I have the same problem although that doesn't work any thoughts on how I could fix this?
  • Wulfy Level 1 Level 1
well that was my only thought, sorry. the only other thing that might work is to just turn it off and leave it off for a while (10-15min.) and then when you want to turn it on pug it into your computer and don't open up itunes

Tried that too, 2.0 is so glitchy I never installed it now a waste of £6 further more i spent £50 on apps and further more my ipod was like £160 so that was a waste of a lot of money if I can't get this fixed.

My last hope is warrenty by the looks of things...

Well ironically I experienced this same problem just a little while ago. It must have been because I read this topic. lol

I had just downloaded a new app and all seemed good until I went back to the app store. My ipod locked up so I reboot it. Thats when it got stuck on the apple screen and wouldn't do anything. Connecting to itunes made itunes lock up too.

    But I found a fix.

    This is what you do:
    1. Connect the USB cable to your ipod but NOT your computer.
    2. Open iTunes
    3. Hold the Sleep and Home buttons until your screen goes blank.
    4. Let go of the Sleep button (the one on top) and continue to hold Home (the round button below the screen) and plug the USB cable back into the computer. It should take about 15-30sec and iTunes will find your ipod and say it is in restore mode, continue with the full restore and use the back up version from your previous sync. Be very patient, this is not a quick task, but it will restore everything back to your ipod.

This happens when you use both the app store on the ipod and the app store on iTunes. If you install an app on the ipod without itunes, and itunes goes to sync it, it severely screws up the ipod needing a restore.
