Save to Multiple Folders at Once

by save, do you mean copy a given file to several different folders? are the destinations fixed or do you want to input them into the workflow from a prompt?

this can be done in many ways.

the easiest would be using apple script action. you can also do it using automator variables but we need a few more details, please.

hmm, that would be tricky. you can make a folder action that copies anything added to the "Numbers Projects" folder to your Lacie but this can only be triggered by an initial save, i.e when something is added to "Numbers Projects". It won't work if you later modify this file and resave it. I fact I don't know how to trigger an action like this by simply modifying an existing file in "Numbers Projects".

the only solution I can think of is to use some syncing software working on a schedule and you already got that.

there is other folder syncing software. check out [Mac update|http://www.macupdate.com/search.php?keywords=synchronize+folder&starget= google]. [CCCloner|http://www.bombich.com/software/ccc.html] can do it too.

Check out Hazel. This can be set to execute specific tasks on given events. So, it can watch your "Numbers Projects" folder and when it detects a change (like a file added or updated) it can make a copy of that file elsewhere.

this is a pretty cool app - I haven't seen it before. I've been playing with it for a bit and I can't make it reliably react to updated content. It sort of works but it misses some updates and sometimes seems to stop working. it probably has to do with how often it evaluates the rules. But all in all - very nice.
