Use iPhone film as a temporary case

I'm most likely getting my i Phone tomorrow. The only thing is I'm not sure if I'll have enough money to also pick up a case for it. Is it possible to use the film that the iPhone comes with as a temporary case until I can purchase one? It would only be for a few days; or will the iPhone not function unless I take it off?

The film it comes wrapped in covers the front and the back. The back side of it won't stick on once its peeled, which will happen when it gets activated at the store. You could cut it free so that the front film will stay on. One thing to remember, carefully cut a hole in the film over the speaker opening above the screen so that you'll be able to hear. You should be able to use that front film for a bit, but it won't last too terribly long. But, it should cover the screen for you for a little while. There are cases as inexpensive as 24.95, so hopefully you'll be able to get something to protect your new iPhone. Hope that helps and enjoy your new phone!
