Remote app and podcasts

Does the Remote support chapters for podcasts? I have several gapless CDs converted to chapterized .m4a files, but the Remote won't give me a list of the chapters (songs in my case).

Wondering if this is a general limitation of the Remote or if my "podcasts" aren't properly formatted for it to work.

I should mention that in my iPod Touch's internal music library, I have full access to the chapters in these files. And in iTunes, of course. It's only the Remote that appears to be hobbled.
