Return Receipts for Apple Mail??

I used to use Eudora and loved the RR (return receipt) feature so that I knew when recipients got my messages. I've had so many other problems with Eudora that i stopped using it and switched to Apple's Mail application but I really miss the return receipt feature.

Does anyone know if there are any add-ons to the Apple Mail application that will give it this functionality??

PowerPC G5, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

Over the years when using Eudora, I've never had a return receipt request ignored. If I checked off the RR button in Eudora, I got my receipt. This is an important function for business use. Many people don't seem to understand it's importance and discount the feature by saying that the recipient must cooperate, thus implying that it's usefulness is minimal. It might be the case for personal use, but I don't need that function for personal email.

I've always found that, in the business setting, people tend to cooperate and send the receipt when asked. I'm surprised that Apple would not make it available to those who want to use it.

You're preaching to the converted 😉

However, remember this is a user-to-user forum. If you want to be certain Apple knows your views, why not post them to Feedback. Your post will not be ignored.

In the meantime, why not try the method in the link I gave you?
