Backup photo album from iPhone to iPhoto??!!

Hi everyone,

I usually use iPhoto to backup my iPhone photos to my computer, syncronizing my albums and deleting them from the "camera roll".
But I accidentaly deleted all my pics on iPhoto!
So if I syncronize my albums still present in my iPhone, iPhoto will automatically erase everything!
The problem is that iPhoto only backups pictures from the "camera roll" and not existing albums!

So my question is: *how do i transfer my existing photo albums from my iPhone 3G to my computer* as they are not in my "camera roll" anymore???

Macbook, Mac OS X (10.5.4)

You can't. Besides, when you sync a photo album from iPhoto to the iPhone, it optimized those photos to a very small resolution to show properly on the iPhone. So even if you could get the photos back, they'd be essentially unusable.

Well, the pictures Im talking about, have been taken with my iPhone.
And I've never seen any difference from between a picture from the "camera roll" and a picture moved from the "camera roll" to a created album.
The only difference is that i can t delete them directly from my iphone, but only with iphoto, and i can't "import" them to my iphoto roll once i ve plugged my iphone.

The resolution of the pictures are not the point anyway.
The question is: *Is there any software which could access my photo albums and not only my "camera roll"?* or *Is there any way to access "manually" my iphone through my laptop without itunes or iphoto and get back my album?*

I believe PhoneView claims to be able to do this:

They have a testimony from someone who recovered photos from the phone after a hard drive crash.

Thanks Daiya for the info.
I ve tried the trial version, and it seems to work on the first 20 pics!
If I want to get all my pics back, I need to purchase the software.
Any free version or different freeware?!!

I ve decided purchase Phone View and i managed to restore all my pics from my iphone album to my computer!!!
