iTunes Wont Load

When I try to start up iTunes (whatever the latest version is), Windows gives me an error message saying "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I have tried uninstalling, removing registry keys, reinstalling, repairing, everything. iTunes just will not work no matter what I do!

You are using a computer manufactured by Dell Computer Corporation.
Microsoft Office was preinstalled on your computer by the manufacturer.
You upgrade your operating system from Microsoft Windows 98 to Microsoft Windows 2000.
You run the Microsoft Office Setup program to add, reinstall, or repair an Office component.

None of this applies to my current configuration. What I think happened is that when I installed WinAVI video converter, I needed some software in order to allow converting of realplayer and quicktime files. The quicktime software needed was Quicktime Alternative. That is when I think that my iTunes got messed up.
