How do I create an Organizational Chart?

I have iwork08 but I do not have windows on my imac. Is there an easy way to create an organizational chart in one of the iwork programs? Also, when I had a windows computer I could get tons of templates from MS. Any place I can get free templates for mac?

Panama,

iWork doesn't 'easily' create organizational charts. You can do it but you have to build one from the ground up. OmniGroup (www.omnigroup.com) makes Mac software that created org charts very easily.

You can find templates for iWorks at www.iworkcommunity.com. You can also use many of the templates made for Word and Excel.

OmniGraffle is supposed to be the best.

You can download for free I believe and try it for a while.

Many of the graphics tasks people try to perform in Pages can be done but Pages wasn't really built for that purpose. Org charts is one such job. Long ago I developed a list of Mac must have applications for new users and OmniGraffle from OmniGroup headed the list. It still does more than 5 years later. Venn diagrams, organization charts, flow charts, mind mapping, network map - this program can do it. It comes in 2 versions with education pricing as well. The professional version can import Visio files, BTW.
