when i try to get my music from itunes to the ipod I get a message that says; the ipod-unit cannot be synchronised. the needed disk is not to be found (transelated from norwegian..). i use windows, and used another computer the first time i used the ipod. please help me!
1st you synced your ipod with computer 1
2nd you are trying to sync your ipod with computer 2 and it will not let you
If I understand your situation correctly then what you are trying to do cannot be done with itunes unless you associate your ipod with computer 2 (and loose all of your music currently on the ipod).
If I got this totally wrong give me more information so can better help you.
yes, thats correct! but i dont care if i loose the music i have at the ipod at the moment because its bad. and i pressed yes at the computer when it says; you will loose your currently music (or something like that). and it starts sync again and then suddenly after a few minutes this stupid message whit ....cannot find the needed disk shows up.
Be careful if you decide to restore your ipod. I just did a restore on my ipod (due to syncing problems caused by 7.7 upgrade) and while it did restore my ipod to factory settings, it also deleted almost all of my songs from my +itunes
library+. Out of 111 songs -- 12 purchased songs and 12 uploaded from cd's songs synced to my ipod. The remaining songs are nowhere to be found on my desktop. They show up in my library w/a '!' before the song and when I click on the song it comes up w/'original file could not be located. would you like to locate?' No matter where I look I cannot find my songs.
Why would syncing my ipod delete my songs from my library?
