Unknown Device Error 0x0c, 0x00

Help please! Everytime I try to burn a DVD after the rendering process, DVD studio Pro then spits out the blank DVD and says Unknown Device Error 0x0c, 0x00.
I have tried restarting, using a different disc (got through seven now), closing applications etc but the error still remains.
Interestingly, this has happened before and i previously fixed it by inserting a new DVD. However this now isn't fixing the situation.
The DVD's are Verbatim 4,7GB, 16x. The DVD project is only 380MB so it isn't too big for the DVD.
Does anyone know what is wrong? Help please, I am burning DVD's for film festivals and the deadlines are fast approaching.

I should add that burning the same DVD's with this project has worked before. Another reason why i am so puzzled

Did you try * Creating Disc Image in DVDSP * and burning it with Toast or Disk Utility?

I followed the instructions as given however there was a problem. When the process got to the last section and I was burning the DVD through the disc utility an error sign came up saying 'Unable to burn "DVD.img". (The burn failed because of a medium write error.) Does this mean that my DVD rewriting drive is broken? Help please! I really don't know what to do. Thank you.

Hi

Try burning just plain data files, to check your burner is working fine. Did you try with other media?

I've gone crazy with the same proble.

Yesterday I burnt a DVD and today, the same project with the same disc didn't work with the 0x00 media error.

I'v solved it!

I tried 3 different brand discs and the sony +R worked.
Sometimes the same disc works and sometimes not. It's just a matter of trying different discs.
