Battery exploded !

I really loved my Macbook Pro but now my batterie is exploded. On the one side it is the normal size and on the other it is about double the size. It does not fit anymore so what to do ?

This is not what I expected when I decided to buy a mac ...

it is month 16 ... so 4 month to late and I do not have apple care. But what shocked me most was how fast the battery blows up. I was running several applications and the batterie was loaded and power plugged in. Then I went to the toilette and when I came back it seems like the mac book pro is flying. The battery has grown in about five minutes about double the size on one side, while the other side looks still the same.

I removed the battery instantly and placed it in some box so it does not hurt me if it explode, it has not by now but maybe soon.

Now think about what could have happened if I have not replaced the battery. If I had gone out for dinner about 2 hours ... I guess the Macbook would be destroyed and that is what makes me angry. Why does Apple use this batteries ? There were similar issues with some powerbook batteries but there was a replacement. But for the Macbook Pro there is no replacement why ? Be serious it is not fair to ship batteries that might destroy you computer after 16 month ...

The battery recall/exchange (now closed) applied only to 15" MBPs within a certain serial number range. The program I linked to applies to all Core Duo notebooks (both sizes of MBPs, and MBs as well).
