I don't have App sync on (have tried it with App sync on and off), my Mobile Applications directory on my Mac is empty.

When I go to update my apps per the iPhone's App Store program, they download and then I get this message:

+You've already purchased this item, but it hasn't been downloaded.To get it, open iTunes on your computer, select Check for Purchases, then sync your device to your computer.+

I did this, yet the problem remains. Have restored to factory settings and after installing my apps again, the next time one updates I get this error and despite my following the directions above, the error persists. Anyone know of a fix for this little circle?

Powermac G4 Dual 1Ghz Quicksilver, Mac OS X (10.5.2), 1.5 Tb harddrive space, 1.25G RAM.

You're seeing all of that? Wow, what a cluster....of issues you're seeing.

You might try "buying" the app again. It'll tell you it's free to download if you own it. The only side effect is you get a $0.00 bill for it.

Yeah, I am going to blast my iPhone for the 4th time today and pray this goes away. I had 6 apps showing updates, the 6 badge icon shows on the App Store on my iPhone and, having run them all, the 6 apps have two copies each on my iPhone: one that is the old version of the app and will not run and the other is a faded version of the app with an empty progress bar on the icon. Click those and you get an error message about connecting to iTunes, etc. as described in the article I linked to above.

It gets stranger than this. If I install a completely NEW app, the 6 that are stuck mid-update heal themselves and appear with the new version only, however now completely different apps (Hold Em for instance - which I did not update and didn't need an update) will not launch "app name Cannot Launch" message comes up.

Agh!

I had this issue and i fixed it by restoring iPhone and not restoring from back up. I set the iPhone up from scratch and the problem went away. I suspect the back up was causing it.
