Can I use .msn email address on iMAC?

Still have an old msn email account that I use for some business - Now that my PC has crashed again - I know I can download messenger, but I just want to be able to get a hold of the msn email account to check emails. Mostly use my .mac but still need to get into msn.
Any suggestions?

iMAC, Mac OS X (10.5.4)

I do not use Hotmail. However, I was able to go the MSN site to register for Hotmail.

Are you saying you are having problems getting into the Hotmail website? I'm having problems understanding exactly what your problem is. Sorry.

Have you checked out the Contacting Hotmail website?

Which "model" & "generation" G5 iMac do you have?

The mail app on you imac is just like messenger you can check your msn mail through it. But you need to know your user name, pass word, incoming mail server, and out going mail server. I looked at the msn hotmail site but it just talks about checkin your email via the web browser. But if you remember these settings that you used with messenger just plug them into mail and see if it works for you.
