Is there a way to put a PDF on my ipod? I tried it with FileMagnet and it doesn't seem to like that kind of file, tried to put it in iPhoto and it won't accept it. I thought I saw that this was possible, so how do you do it? (I'm trying to save a high res pdf map of the paris subway system onto my ipod, so I"m hoping I'll be able to zoom in on it once its in there, without lowering the resolution)

macbook, Mac OS X (10.5.1)

Hi There,

There's DiskAid ( http://www.digidna.net/diskaid/) but I think it only allows for storage of files, in which case you'd still need a PDF reader.

DataCase ( http://www.veiosoft.com/) looks like it might be what you're looking for & will be available in a few days.

There's also the option of saving the PDF as a giant .jpeg & viewing it as a photo that way.

Hope something here's helpful.

Hello Again,

You can save the PDF as a jpeg in Photoshop by using the 'save a copy' function. As for DiskAid, I don't think it requires jailbreaking the iPod, though I haven't used it myself so I'm not 100% certain. In any case, it's an app for the Mac, not the iPod.

If you can wait a couple days, I'd try DataCase. It looks to be the kind of thing you're looking for.
