Invisible Shield Voids Warranty?

I was told by my AT&T rep that "Straight from Steve Jobs, your warranty will be void if you use it because of the liquid application to the phone to set the film in place"

Is this true? I cannot find anything definitive.

great question... i asked it last week... along with the seemingly increased glare when you watch the invisible Shield video demo after it is applied? AT&T said to ask APPLE Support if warranty is void with use of invisible Shield... Called the APPLE Store and they were not aware of hearing this, but wouldn't discount it. This may be a good place to reach out to legacy iPhone users who applied the "Shield" for their experiences with taking their iPhone in for repair, etc. Only thing I am seeing on the Discussion groups or reviews on Shield site is its a "pain in the rear to apply..." and when you attempt to take it off, "it leaves a sticky residue...". Others swear by it.... So those of you who applied it to your iPhone, what is the verdict?

No way. The shield I use ( which I purchased at the Apple store a year ago when I purchased the phone) uses static, almost like static cling. It works great and have not had to remove it, does not interfere with the performance of the phone. Also, if I want to be safe I can just remove it before I bring it in. But I have brought it to the Apple store before and no one mentioned anything about it.

I have Invisible Shields on almost every small electronic product I own. My 2 iphones, my ipod, my macbook, my treo, and my DS. Aside from being a PITA to apply, they are the best things in the world.

I never worry about scratches, never worry about too many fingerprints, much less prone to fingerprints/greasy look than the plain iPhone.

They also DO NOT leave a sticky residue, ever.

No company has ever given me a problem with the warranty because of it.

Also, a lifetime warranty with no questions asked, they even send you the new one before they ask to send yours back. My Treo fell off my car when I was dumb enough to leave it on the roof while driving. The treo was fine with a few scratches on the shield, I told Zagg the story, I had a new shield in 3 days.

I recommend it to everyone I know who wants protection on any small device, much better looking than any cheap silicone case and doesnt take away from the aesthetics of the device.
