Iphone 2G, mobileme and photos

I have the old iphone and I am now syncing automatically using MobileMe. It's working great for calendars, contacts and mail. However, when I used to plug the iphone into my MAC, it would also sync my special iphoto album for my iphone. I have added a picture to my iphoto album to sync to my iphone but whenever I sync it the new picture does not sync to the same folder on my iphone. How do you sync photos using MobileMe.

You don't sync photos with MobileMe - or MobileMe web galleries. You can sync or transfer iPhoto albums that are stored locally on your hard drive.

I have added a picture to my iphoto album to sync to my iphone but whenever I sync it the new picture does not sync to the same folder on my iphone.

Does the photo transfer to a different folder or album on your iPhone than intended, or doesn't transfer at all?

The photo doesn't transfer at all. It stays in the album in my iphoto album. Whenever I used to sync with the computer (not using mobile me) it would update this folder too.

If mobileme won't transfer photos...how do you get photos from your computer to your iphone. I don't want a whole album. I just want to add a photo to an existing album. I tried opening the picture from email and then saving it to iphone, but it went into the camera roll place on iphone and I couldn't transfer it to the folder that has all my other pictures.

I haven't experienced the same.

Try deselecting this iPhoto album under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences followed by a sync to remove the album and included photos from your iPhone.

Reselect the album followed by a sync to see if this resolves the problem.

If not, I would reset the sync history on your Mac, which is done with iSync preferences with the iSync application located in your Applications folder. After selecting reset sync history, restart your Mac followed by another sync.

So now I think I understand something. You can sync using Mobile Me for contacts, mail and calendars and continue to sync with the cable for photos...is that right? I just went in and synced that way and now my photo album is updated with the new photo. It's a little clunky...but it worked. Am I understanding this better?

I thought once you went to Mobile Me you never used the cable anymore.
