Suddenly locked out from iTunes Connect. What could be the problem?

I've been using iTunes connect without any problems until last Friday (July 18th). Since then, I can't login any more and get the message "Apple ID does not have permission to access iTunes Connect". My Apple ID is fine with all other services (Radar, ADC, iPhone Dev Portal, this forum), and hasn't changed for years.

I tried to contact Apple support, but apart from a not working suggestion to enter my apple ID without a space in it (as it is an old ID, it consists of my name as two words, not the email address), I got no response.

As this effectively *locks me out of iTunes Connect and my Application* waiting there for review, I'm really getting annoyed. My app is in there, I can't check, modify, update, adjust metadata or anything, and nobody at Apple seems to care.

It seems that they changed something in the iTunes connect login end of last week. Anybody who has similar experiences or ideas what could be wrong, or what support channel to contact at Apple to *get a response* before Holiday season?

Thanks for any hints!

I'm having the same exact problem. I changed my ADC login email and all of a sudden I was locked out! I've contacted ADC a number of times and they have told me that while other people have this problem, they are busily working on fixes for other things.

This is very frustrating as we're trying to launch our product and we're unable to get into iTunes Connect to get it up on AppStore.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

I sent in my $99 and got an "Activation Code", but clicking it only takes me to the regular iPhone Dev Center.

Can someone advise me as to what I have to do to start the process of submitting my app? I.e. get to the iTunes Connect and additional documentation?

There doesn't seem to be anything new on the iPhone Dev Center page that wasn't there before I got my Activation Code.

I would appreciate any help from you guys. Do I just keep waiting for something else from Apple?

Thread hijacking is not polite.

Having said that, activating will only add a small "Program Portal" button in the top right of the page. It's very easy to miss.

If you still haven't seen it, the activation may not have taken. (It took me a couple tries.) Make sure you're logged into your Apple ID, then go back to your e-mail and try again.

Thanks for confirming that my problem is not a singular one, but something more general!

After writing to devprogrms@apple.com including all of the Follow-Up numbers I got (via the automated response mail), I got at least a short reply signed by a human:

"Please know that we are currently reviewing your inquiry and will get back to you very soon."

Not very informative, and sounding very much like standard text, but at least a response...
Other than that, no news, I still can't access my iTunes Connect account.

I have the exact same problem as well, no access to iTunes Connect. I noticed some strange behavior when I received the activation code in my email that might have something to do with it. When I clicked the link to activate my Apple ID as an iPhone Developer it said "We are unable to process your request", but then I logged in http://developer.apple.com/iphone and got access to the Program Portal and so on, so I figured it worked anyway. Perhaps it has two systems for registering you into the program, and we all are registered for the Portal, but not iTunes Connect? I've had this problem for over a week, and despite sending several emails, Apple still haven't resolved the issue for me either.

best of luck to us all, eh

I guess the login system is the same for all services. You get a different error when you try to login with a wrong apple ID or wrong password.

However not every apple ID is allowed to access iTunes connect, and there they seem to have changed something. Unlike some of the other posters, I had working access to iTunes Connect for several weeks with the same Apple ID. Then they apparently changed something, and since July 18th I can't login *any more* - into my account *I know it exists* (at least: has existed) and has (had) valid contracts and apps in it.

A helpful person at Ars gave me this URL

https://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZLabel

But my Apple ID isn't accepted there. It's been accepted at ADC (Select) and everywhere else for years.

I guess tomorrow I'll have to let the phone stay on hold for however long it takes.

This is the first time I've ever had this kind of difficulty with a paid service from Apple. I wouldn't mind if it was to access a free area, but they took my money and I have nothing.

My apple ID does not get accepted at this new link either - it looks as if it essentially lands at the same login page as the normal iTunes Connect Link ( https://itunesconnect.apple.com) does.

Please let us know if you have any success with Apple via phone support. I hope I'll get an answer from devprograms on monday - I'll forward it to here of course when I get some useful information.
