Facebook app won't log in, or when it rarely does....crashes

I am having the same I am having the same problem. It was working okay till the other day and now just won't log in. I have deleted the app and reinstalled but the problem still continues. Does anyone know how to fix it? I am a 1st gen with 2.0

Is everything up to date? There is now version 2.0.1 for the iphone (just click check for update on the summary screen). Facebook has also been updated and now doesn't crash.

I am just updating now and will let you know.... fingers crossed it fixes some of the laggy performance too!

i have the update for iphone and my facebook is also not working as of recently i cannot see friends pictures and a mini feed as well as the news feed. anyone else having this issue. i have also deleted it and reloaded it and all the works. anyone, anyone else? i want my facebook back!

Facebook app is still down. Checked for updates on my iPhone 3G and iTunes, was told everything is up to date. I can see Friends, Inbox, my profile, and chat...but the "Home" icon gives me the "News Feed could not be loaded at this time..."

Guess we'll just have to wait.

Same problem. All my friends are experiencing the same thing on their 3G iPhones too. =(

I have 2 3G iphones and 2 edge phones. They all are having the problem of the apps failing, 3 hour plus back ups and 3 hour plus re syncs after restoring the phone. The problem seems to always occur after using any app until it crashes. The phone reboot has no effect and sometimes takes an hour or more to come back up. It makes no difference if it is a free app or a 50.00 app. The apps that are web based continue to work but the ones that are installed locally are the ones that start for a few seconds and then quit. Web based apps are not affected by this. I have recovered numerous times just to have it crap out when I go to show someone my cool phone. I'm sick of this and have hundreds of dollars invested in apps for my 3G 16 GB phone. My old 16 GB Edge was bought from me by a co-worker who hacked his and installs his apps for free somehow has not had these problems. This helps confirm an authorization issue. Apple, please acknowledge this issue and fix it. The PC weenies at my company are having a hay day over this. Also when this happens the phone has audio issues after restore. You have to turn everything off then on again to get options up again.

I've also had the problem with the news feed not loading in Facebook but it seems to be working this morning so it seems the problem is with the other end, as it were rather, than the actual application.

iPhone 3g, latest updates for OS and Facebook and I starting getting the news feed can't be loaded message last night. It worked for a while this morning and then back down again. This is very frustrating but appears to be on the Facebook end. Let's hope they figure it out...I'm sure they are getting slammed with this interface to Facebook.

I just downloaded it for my iPhone 2G and it has never successfully logged in. It just tries and tries and tries....

Not working for me, either. Just re-downloaded the app and checked for updates. Still not logging in.

I've been having the same problem on the iTouch (Sept 08), the web app works fine but the downloaded one doesn't 😟

Same here. Really irritating. Wouldn't mind so much if the web one worked but that keeps logging me out...
