Printing and PDF files too small to read

I have a g5 power PC and a 17 inch widescreen Dell LCD. Since I got the dell and made the resolution 1680x1050, whenever I print from the web or save a file as a pdf. from the web the font size etc. is VERY small and hard to read. Is there an easy way to correct this?

G5, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

I am not sure what you mean by a link that does this. ANY web page that I print on either my Brother laser or my epson inkjet comes out very small.
I checked the preferences in preview and they are at 100%. I just saved a web page to pdf. from a car dealer site called Fitzmall. When I opened the saved pdf. in preview after the save, I needed to magnify the file 3 or 4 times in order to be able to read it.

In Preview>Preferences>PDF tab, is Greeking Threshold ste, and/or Anti-Alias text & Line art? Images Tab... Actual size, Respect DPI?

If you want to Print better Rez, dont print from Safari, but download it, load it in Preview, don't save it, it'll go to 72-150 DPI, just Print from there... any diff?

To save PDFs in better resolution from Preview, try these Quartz Filters courtesy Jerome Colas...

Preview is set up this way in prefs:
Greeking Threshold: 3
Anti-aliasing text is checked
I changed Images to actual size. respect DPI was already checked.
I saved this web page from safari to the desktop but couldn't open it in preview.
I did try the filters but no help.
Do you think that it could have something to do with my display resolution on the widescreen monitor?
By the way, thanks for trying to help...

I don't think so.

I found a way to change the rez of Preview's 72/150 DPI default to 300/600 DPI, but not finding it now, and my near blindness and age prevents me at the moment from finding it.

Can you find somewhere to post/upload one of those PDFs with a link, so I can look at it and try to decipher what the problem is?
