MobileMe setup on PC

I'm trying to follow the instructions but I think I must be in a parallel universe. I have the latest version of iTunes, and the MobileMe instructions start with

# From the Start menu, open Control Panel and choose MobileMe Preferences. Log in with your member name and password. MobileMe Preferences is located in Network and Internet on Windows Vista and in Network and Internet Connections on Windows XP.

Well, for the life of me I can't see any "Start" menu on iTunes. Am I just stupid, or is there something wrong with the instructions?

I'm pretty annoyed as I have had to give my credit card to get even this far (which is not yet even started). And I'm only doing this because synching my iPhone with Outlook seems to be way beyond the capability of the current software as I work across two time zones (open in Outlook) and my iPhone completely gets these all stuffed up and my meeting appear in the middle of the night.

I'm starting to regret not sticking with BlackBerry ... rather than moving to a toy that looks good but doesn't seem to be very functional as a business tool ... !
