Want to remove my picture from emails I send. How ?

At one point, I added my picture in Mail 2.1 (I think people who receive my emails see it, when I look at my SENT emails, I see my picture in the top right corner of the email).

I don't even remember how I did that. I tried looking in the Mail settings, accounts, even System Preferences, I went on my .Mac account online, nothing. I can't find the option to add or remove a personal picture attached to emails I send.

How the blazes do I remove it!!!!!!

Mail matches the "From" address to the image in Address Book (if an image is associated with that address). The image is not actually part of the mail message itself. You'll note that if you change the image in Address Book, it changes in Mail.

Also, you'll note that when people send you mail, if their e-mail address is found in the Address Book, whatever image you've associated with that person will appear at the top of the e-mail message. It's not because they sent you the picture, but because you've put their photo in your Address Book.

If you find your face in the mail messages to be disconcerting, open Address Book, find the entry for yourself, click on the picture and delete it.

Your picture is in Address Book, not Mail. You need to open Address Book and find your contact card and delete the picture from it.

People who you send to do not see it unless they have a photo of you in their Mac Address Book entry.

You may remove your photo from your address book entry if you want (and as Mulder suggests), but you really don't need to.
