Well, your profile says you're running 10.4.7, so that's definitely not Leopard; you should update that, since it does make a difference when trying to troubleshoot problems. This is the way it should work, so if it doesn't, I have no idea why, since I'm not running 10.5 myself.
I would presume this would also be in the Help file, so if Apple changed it between versions, the correct procedure should also be noted there.
